Welcome Members of the 233!

Instructions for First Time Visitors - Please Read Them

Please read through these instructions. You'll find important information here that will maximize your experience using our site.

On this page you will find the following:

Hi to all our Central High 233 classmates. Our 50-year reunion will be coming up in 2024. Your Reunion Committee currently consists of Jeff Thomas (Class Representative and Chairman), Derrick Coker (Senior Class President), Howard Silver, and me (Ed Einhorn). I have been given the title "Class Data Person" by Rudy Cvetkovic of the CHS Alumni Association. That probably has something to do with the fact that my entire career has been spent as an IT guy creating and administering databases. I now wear that title proudly!

All of us in the Reunion Committee want our 50-year reunion to be the best ever, with the highest turnout since we all proudly sat together on the stage of the Academy of Music. We've created this website in hopes of making that a reality in 2024.

Some of you are members of the Facebook group "New Central High School Philadelphia 233rd Class Group". We know many of you do not have a Facebook account and do not want to create one. This site is not meant to be a replacement for the Facebook group. Instead, it is more focused on getting us all back together for a reunion. This website is ours and ours alone, having nothing to do with Facebook. Anyone who is a member of the 233 graduating class automatically will be allowed, and encouraged, to join. Anyone not a member of the 233 will have their join request handled on a case-by-case basis, for example, your spouse and former teachers.

Everything you need to know about setting up your profile to gain access to the rest of this website is on this page. If you have questions, comment, or suggestions regarding our website, please contact Ed Einhorn using the Contact Us link.

All contact information (address, phone number, e-mail address) that you enter into this website will be kept confidential. The host of this web site, ClassCreator.com, is a locally-owned business. They understand the importance of your privacy. Your personal information will never be sold to other sites. It will not be shared or distributed.

Your contact information is private; your street address, e-mail address, and phone number cannot be seen by classmates. Each classmate has the ability to limit the visibility of his or her profile to only fellow classmates by clicking on the appropriate answer in the Profile Visibility section during profile setup. If you do not opt for privacy on this line your profile can be viewed by non members such as your friends or family, but also note your profile will be fully indexable by major search engines.

Finding your class web site Profile pages by searching Google or other major search engines:

  • If you are signed on to the site and restricted your profile to only fellow classmates, and then use a search engine to see if the privacy options above are working, it will appear they are NOT. This is only because you are signed into the site. Sign out and check again. You will see that none of your profile information is viewable by non members.

Emails may be shared within this site using the contact option at the top of each classmate's profile page (just look under the classmate's main photo in the upper left). This way you will be able to contact classmates without sharing your private email address, unless you choose to do so.

All class Email news sent from us to you via this web site: For those of you with spam blocking or email filtering capabilities, please add noreply@classcreator.net to your email account as a safe sender in order to ensure you receive email communications from us.

Please note that if you do not want your name and picture on this site it may be removed by contacting Ed Einhorn using the Contact Us link. This will end all communications to you from the Central High School 233 website, unless you ask that special arrangements be made.

In order to access the pages that are password protected on this site, you must set up a profile by providing a minimum of your email address, and a password.

To set up your profile: locate the Classmate Profiles link and locate your name and click on it. Follow the prompts to create your profile.

Private information like your email address, home address, and phone numbers will not be visible to fellow classmates. We collect mailing addresses in the event that we need to contact you by snail mail or phone. Your information will never be given to other classmates without your permission.

We encourage you to add a current picture to your profile as a master photo. This photo will be displayed in various areas around the site. It's also helpful to upload an additional "Now" photo, and a "Then" photo. Classmates will enjoy seeing how you've changed!

If your name is not already on the site, but you were part of the Central High School 233 class, contact us and your name will be added.

Updates: If you change your email address, snail mail address, or phone number, please update your Contact Info so we have up to date information. That way you'll always be in the know about what your classmates are up to! And, it will make it easier for us to contact you for the reunion following the one in 2024.

Choosing a password: Passwords do not need to be the high security style recommended for some sites. Choose something simple (but NOT the word "password") that you are certain you will remember. Clicking the "Remember Me" will allow you to bypass entering the password each time you visit, but eventually the "remember me" will fail (for instance when you get a new computer). Please make note of your password!

If you forget your password simply click on "forgot password". If you have several email accounts, and you don't remember the one you used to set-up your account, contact Ed Einhorn using the Contact Us link. This could take a while so please be patient.

This website will automatically create a list of everyone who is missing, based solely on the names of people who don't have an email address on their profile; so until you join by entering your email address on your profile, the site will consider you "missing". You can see this list by clicking on the Missing Classmates menu item to the left.

We have 356 names and senior pictures in our yearbook. The Alumni association provided us with a spreadsheet containing 215 names plus another 12 names that are sadly on the deceased list. We also have the list of all names that were in the Commencement Program. We have combined all of these lists and imported them, as well as their yearbook photo, to create an initial profile for every name.

Many names have missing or obsolete contact information. That is why one of the Reunion Committee's top goals is to find, verify, and document contact information for every classmate who is not on the deceased list. We want to create the ultimate 233 contact list so we have up-to-date contact information for all of you. Together, let's build a list as complete and accurate as the one that existing the day we all graduated at the Academy of Music!

Here is where you can help significantly. If you are still in contact with anyone you see on the missing classmates list, please send them to this website (centralhigh233.com) so they can join and update their profile with their latest contact information. Or, with their permission, you can send us their name and contact info and we will get in touch with them. If you know of any classmates who have passed away, please let us know that, too. We will update our list and add them to the "In Memory" section of this website.

We need your help to contact EVERY classmate. If you have information about any classmate, listed or not listed, please contact Ed Einhorn by using the Contact Us.

Your 50-Year Reunion Committee thanks you very much!

Adding current pictures is not a requirement to participate on the site, but it certainly is a nice way to get to know people again. We've had reports of classmates who were routinely running into each other without knowing it, because...well....we've all changed a little over the years! :)

Filling in the photo slots at the top of your Profile:

  • Click "Edit Profile" under MEMBER FUNCTIONS.
  • Roll your cursor over the Master Photo, Then, Now, or Yearbook photo silhouette (note you cannot upload a yearbook photo if one has already been provided)
  • Click "Select Photo" displayed in the upper right corner of photo, then click the "Upload a New Photo" button.
  • Select the desired photo from your hard drive. You will then be given an opportunity to crop the photo for a perfect fit.

Adding large "Profile Gallery Images" to your Profile:

  • Click "Edit Profile" under MEMBER FUNCTIONS.
  • Click the photo tab in the upper right corner of your Profile.
  • You will see any images previously uploaded here. Click the "Upload a New Photo" button to add more.
  • Click to select images you wish to display on your Profile. All images with a green check mark will display. Click again to not display, and the green check mark will disappear.
  • To add a caption under your images, roll over any image and select "Edit Details". Enter your caption and press save.
  • You can adjust the display order of your photos by simply dragging and dropping them into the positions of your choosing.
